Stoughton Swimming Pool is excited to host the Applause Dinner Theatre for our 2013 Pool Fundraiser:
“TACKLED…A FOOTBALL PLAY”
When Billionaire Rod Reed (a mix of two famous Riders George Reed and Ron Lancaster) a dear old friend of Rider coach Austin Kent (famous Rider coach Kent Austin) dies, he leaves a little something for his three sisters (Sherry, Stella, & Shardonay) and one brother (Keith). Most of his inheritance goes to his beloved daughter Brandy, and a whooping $5 million is left to the coach of the Riders to run the Rider program. There is a catch however – the coach must use his skills to successfully steward Ron’s beloved daughter Brandy, and the White Cloud Theatre through a season to earn the inheritance money.
So grudgingly Coach Austin, with the help of Ron’s daughter Brandy, takes on the challenge. They arrive to find that the shows director has taken ill, so it is up to the two of them to direct the show ‘Frankenstein’. The coach soon learns he must bring in several of his players to help him out; Brandy enlists help from a dear friend who happens to be the lady Coach (Cougar) of the Lingerie Football League. She brings with her a few player/actors from her team. Coach Austin then hires an old football friend, jingle write, to spruce up the script.
Mix all these elements together with Ron’s angry siblings, who try to sabotage the show so they can get a piece of the inheritance.
Tickets are available at the Town Office, Poplar Tree Inn, Swimming Pool or by calling 306-457-7651.
Doors open at 6pm for cocktails, show starts at 7pm.
