Exciting News for Stoughton and RM of Tecumseh No. 65: ICIP Grant Awarded for Main Water Line Replacement and Truck Fill Station

We are thrilled to announce that the Town of Stoughton and RM of Tecumseh No. 65 have been awarded joint funding through the Green Infrastructure Stream (GIS) of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure
Plan (ICIP) . This grant, totaling $3,102,600, will facilitate the replacement of our current water supply main with a new and expanded infrastructure. Additionally, it will support the installation of a much-needed raw water truck fill station for the R.M of Tecumseh No. 65.

Project Highlights:

  • Main Water Line Replacement: The existing water supply main will be upgraded to a new and expanded system, enhancing our community’s water infrastructure to meet growing demands.
  • Raw Water Truck Fill Station: A new truck fill station will be installed, providing crucial support for agricultural, livestock, and emergency response needs within our community.

Funding Breakdown:

  • Federal Government Contribution: $1,241,040
  • Provincial Government Contribution: $1,034,097
  • Recipient Funding: $827,463
